Plaintiffs brought this action pursuant to the Federal Tort Claims Act, 28 U.S.C. § 1346(b), for damages for the death of their son, Private Patrick William Hopkins, allegedly caused by defendant's negligence in diagnosing, treating and supervising him while he was serving in the Armed Forces.
