In December, 1974, while employed by the United States Postal Service, Warren Lee injured his back unloading the mail from a government-owned mail truck. After collecting benefits authorized by the federal workers' compensation act,1 he filed suit against appellee, Detroit Automobile Inter-Insurance Exchange (DAIIE), seeking personal injury protection benefits under the no-fault insurance policy covering his personal vehicle....
