WELLS, Judge.

Defendant contends that the trial court erred in refusing to suppress her custodial statements. The evidence presented at the hearing showed that on the night of 22 July 1980, defendant sought the aid of her neighbor, Sherry Jane Thaxton. Defendant awoke Thaxton and told her that she had shot her boyfriend, Johnson. Thaxton alerted the police and accompanied defendant to the house where defendant and Johnson lived.
