Appellants have brought this appeal to challenge the trial court's denial of their petition to adopt and the granting of appellees' petition. The minor child involved was born on July 31, 1979. Appellants, friends of the child's parents, filed a dependency petition on October 15, 1979. The parents admitted the allegations of the petition and an adjudication of dependency resulted.
