These two consolidated appeals arise from an automobile-motorcycle collision occurring on July 4, 1980 at the corner of Fairfields Avenue and East Belfair in East Baton Rouge Parish. The driver of the motorcycle, Ronald Hinton, sued Mable Burton, the driver of the automobile, and her liability insurer, Dairyland Insurance Company.
