A petition was filed by The Brethren's Home on 23 November 1977 in reorganization under Chapter X of the Bankruptcy Act. The principal liability shown was a first mortgage bond issue in the principal amount of $10,000,000.00, with a balance due on 31 July 1977 in the sum of $9,943,400.00. This issue, with approximately 2000 bondholders, had been in default since May, 1976...
