Plaintiff, Peter L. Dakuras ("Dakuras"), has brought this action against four trustees of the Village of Round Lake Beach, Illinois ("the village"), pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 ("§ 1983"). Dakuras was appointed acting or temporary chief of police for the village on December 2, 1981, and was employed in this position until the filing of the instant complaint on June 21, 1982.
