PIVARNIK, Justice.

Defendant-appellant, Alfred L. Solomon, was charged in the Madison Superior Court with the crimes of rape, Ind. Code § 35-42-4-1 (Burns 1979), and burglary, Ind. Code § 35-43-2-1 (Burns Supp. 1982). A jury found Appellant guilty on both charges. The trial judge sentenced him to twenty years on each count, to be served consecutively.
