Connecticut Investment Casting Corporation (Casting) brought an action in the Springfield Division of the District Court Department to recover the contract price of $5,170.81 for barrel latches sold and delivered to Made-Rite Tool Co., Inc. (Made-Rite). Made-Rite filed a counterclaim for $50,000, alleging that it had been damaged by Casting's breach of contract.
