Appellant was named along with various co-defendants in five counts of a nine count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in the Middle District of Alabama. Each of the five counts charged appellant with criminal activity in the performance of his occupation as Chief, Core Drill and Support Section, United States Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District.
