This appeal arises out of a products liability suit for damages due to injuries incurred when a battery exploded as Roderick Granger lifted the hood of his pickup truck.

The facts of the occurrence of the accident are not in dispute. On August 13, 1979, Granger purchased a battery from Montgomery Ward & Company which was installed by Montgomery Ward in Granger's pickup truck. The battery was manufactured by Gould, Inc. The battery functioned...
