While married, Sharon and Randall Norman bought an unimproved parcel of land located in Cape Girardeau County but outside the corporate limits of any city, town, or village. The land in question is subject to a deed of trust executed by Randall and Sharon to a savings and loan association in December of 1975. The deed of trust secured a construction loan.
