Appellant, Charles Reynolds, was an Assistant Professor of Journalism at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Stevens Studios and the L. B. Stevens Co., Inc. (Stevens) is a Bangor, Maine corporation engaged in the college yearbook portrait business. Becoming dissatisfied with his job, Reynolds decided to leave academia.
