Defendants, Larry Crawford and Demettris Byrd, were charged with the offenses of murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 9-1(a)(2)(3)), aggravated battery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 12-4(a)(b)(1)), and armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 18-2). Following a bench trial, they were found guilty on all charges. Defendant Crawford was sentenced to 30 years' imprisonment...
