The Maryland Legislature has enacted legislation designed to prohibit discrimination in employment, codified as Maryland Code (1957, 1979 Repl. Vol.), Art. 49B, §§ 14-18. Similarly, Prince George's County has enacted ordinances prohibiting employment discrimination, codified in Division 12, of subtitle 2, of the Prince George's County Code.
