This lawsuit arose out of a collision between an automobile and a tractor-trailer, which occurred on December 7, 1969 on U.S. Route 22 in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. Edward Renzi, a passenger in the car, died as a result of injuries suffered in the accident while Charles Benedict and Daniel Mattia, the driver of the car and another passenger, were injured.
