This case arose out of the events which occurred when the individual plaintiffs, Vernon Lee Wells and Robert K. Hughes, traveled to San Francisco, California in July of 1976 for a convention of the National Office Machine Dealers Association (NOMDA). At that time, Wells owned 51% and Hughes 29% of the stock of the corporate plaintiff, Central Office Machines. Wells planned the trip as both a business undertaking...
