This matter is before the Court on appeal of an Order of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. This Order entered on February 14, 1980, allowed debtor Mary Ann Kern Thompson to file a homestead deed under Virginia law and thus claim an exemption in the bankruptcy proceeding for the property listed on the deed.
