The plaintiff, Kenneth M. Donahue, filed this action pursuant to Section 301(a) of the Labor Management Relations Act of 1947, 15 U.S.C. § 185(a) (1976). Plaintiff is a former employee of the defendant L.C.L. Transit Company (LCL), an interstate shipper of dairy products.
