On April 5, 1976, appellant, Stanley Brown, was charged with murder and a number of other related offenses in the fatal shooting and robbery of Carmen Falanga, an insurance agent, who was at the time in question collecting debits in the 2400 block of West Sergeant Street, Philadelphia.
