Russell, a carpenter who fell and broke his leg when a sheet of corrugated asbestos cement shattered during installation, and his wife, Wanda Russell, sued the manufacturer of the material (G.A.F.) and the engineers of the project (Gleit and Olenek) for damages resulting from their failure to warn that the material should not be stepped on.
