On March 4, 1977, a jury convicted appellant, Carl Wanamaker, of murder of the third degree and possession of an instrument of crime. After denying post verdict motions, the trial court sentenced appellant to a term of imprisonment of 5 to 15 years on the charge of murder and suspended sentence on the charge of possession of an instrument of crime.
