These plaintiffs are some 100 migrant farmworkers who in 1978 worked on defendants' farms in Orange County, New York. They bring an action under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended ("the Act"), 29 U.S.C. §§ 201 et seq., to recover wage deductions made by the defendants for housing provided to the farmworkers in the defendants' labor camps.
