The defendants have been charged with violations of 16 U.S.C. § 742j-1 and the aiding and abetting provision, 18 U.S.C. § 2. Section 742j-1 prohibits, with certain exceptions, hunting from aircraft and provides for a penalty of up to $5,000 or imprisonment for not more than one year.
