The Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel District is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia which, by and through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel Commission, operates and maintains a bridge and tunnel facility which extends from Virginia Beach to Northampton County.
