On April 6, 1973, the M/V STONEWALL JACKSON, owned by Offshore Logistics Services, Inc. and operated by Offshore Logistics, Inc. ("OLI") (plaintiffs herein), struck and damaged a production platform in the Gulf of Mexico that was owned by Chevron Oil Company ("Chevron").
