On January 22, 1970, the Mayor and Council of the Town of Trion entered into a franchise agreement with Boyce Dooley granting Dooley an exclusive franchise for a period of twenty (20) years to erect, maintain and operate an antenna television (cable) transmission and distribution facility in the Town of Trion.
