The defendant, in a three count information filed by the State's Attorney of Windsor County, was charged with the following criminal violations arising out of an attempted escape from the Woodstock Correctional Center: (1) attempted escape, 13 V.S.A. § 1501(a)(1); (2) aggravated assault, 13 V.S.A. § 1024(a)(2); (3) kidnapping, 13 V.S.A. § 2401.
