This action came on to be heard upon plaintiff's complaint in forcible entry and detainer to recover possession of residential rental premises and defendant's counterclaim to recover damages based on alleged retaliation for tenant organizing activities. A trial was held on the merits of the respective claims and defenses of the parties on January 4, 5 and 6, 1978.
