Plaintiffs, Farmers Chemical Association, Inc. (FCA) and CF Industries, Inc. (CFI), brought this diversity action against defendant Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation (Transco) on May 18, 1977. FCA and CFI are both agricultural cooperative corporations. FCA as owner and CFI as lessee operate a large fertilizer plant at Tunis, North Carolina, which uses natural gas as a raw material in the manufacture...
