GALLAGHER, Associate Judge:
Appellants were tried by a jury and convicted of the unlawful possession of a dangerous drug, preludin. (D.C.Code 1973, § 33-702(a)(4)). They contend on appeal that the trial court erred in refusing them an opportunity to impeach the rebuttal testimony of a government witness that appellant Holt was under the influence of narcotics at the time of his arrest.
