The plaintiff-appellant is the widow of the late Raul Ramirez and the beneficiary of a life insurance policy issued by defendant-appellee, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company upon his life. Plaintiff brought an action seeking to recover the double-indemnity benefits provided for under the terms of the policy, which benefits had been refused by the Insurance Company.
