OPINION

CONNOR, Justice.

This appeal challenges the admissibility of the results of a blood alcohol test performed on appellant William J. Sullivan.

In September, 1976, police officers responding to a reported automobile accident found Sullivan pinned in his vehicle with an open beer can crushed between his legs. He was immediately transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. An emergency room physician ordered a blood test to ascertain...
