On May 15, 1975 petitioner was convicted in the Middlesex Superior Court of murder in the first degree and sentenced to life imprisonment. Petitioner's conviction was affirmed by the Supreme Judicial Court1 and his subsequent petition for a writ of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court was denied.
