On November 9, 1977 defendant received two traffic tickets: one for failure to obey a sign and the other for failure to have a photo on his license. On the return date, December 14, defendant pleaded not guilty and demanded a supporting deposition pursuant to CPL 100.25. For some unknown reason, defendant was told that the demand must be made in writing, and this was done by posting a letter to the central traffic part on December 27...
