MEMORANDUM
REGAN, District Judge.
Before us is a petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to Section 2254, 28 U.S.C. The sole ground upon which relief is sought is that petitioner was denied effective assistance of counsel.
Petitioner was convicted in the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis of assault with intent to kill with malice and was thereafter sentenced to a term of 25 years imprisonment.
