The defendant and appellant herein, Richard W. Thompson, was charged with first degree sexual assault under section 28-408.03, R.R.S.1943, in an information filed in the District Court for Lancaster County on February 11, 1976. The defendant waived a jury trial; and after trial to the court, commencing April 21, 1976, was found guilty as charged.
