Plaintiff, Charles F. Willis, Jr., brings this action against a law partnership, Semmes, Bowen & Semmes (hereinafter Semmes), alleging malpractice, breach of contract, conversion and conspiracy. Plaintiff is a citizen of Virginia, defendant partnership carries on its activities in Maryland and its partners are citizens of Maryland.
