OPINION

THOMPSON, Justice:

This litigation is a result of an explosion at the Henderson, Nevada, chemical plant of Montrose Chemical Company. The plant was operated by Stauffer Chemical Company. Two employees, Cleo Sharrock and John Schupbach, were severely injured by the explosion. Schupbach died from his injuries one week later.
