(1a) Welfare and Institutions Code section 3050 provides that when in a municipal or justice court, a defendant is convicted or a previously granted probation is revoked, and it appears to the judge that the defendant is or by reason of repeated use may be in imminent danger of becoming addicted to narcotics, the judge shall adjourn the proceedings...
