This controversy between the plaintiffs and the defendants1 results from the conflicting interpretations of the terms of a charitable trust in which both plaintiffs and defendants have an interest.

The legal action taken to resolve the controversy was a complaint for Declaratory Judgment. 14 M.R.S.A. § 5956
