The plaintiffs, the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company and the Hartford Fire Insurance Company, also known as the Hartford Insurance Group, brought an action in three counts seeking damages for the alleged conversion by the defendant, the South Windsor Bank and Trust Company, of an instrument payable to the plaintiffs. The court rendered judgment for the plaintiffs and the defendant has appealed.
