This is a venue case. Roy W. Carnes sued City Utilities Company and the City of Gonzales, Texas, for damages from personal injuries sustained on July 27, 1973. He alleged that while he was working on electrical cables in place on utility poles, he contacted power lines left on the poles in a negligent manner by the defendants; that the defendants' negligence caused his injuries.
