This is a civil action to recover damages for personal injury brought by the plaintiff, Burton Salk, against the defendants, Alpine Ski Shop, Inc. (hereinafter Alpine), a Rhode Island corporation engaged in the sale of ski and other sports equipment, and Cubco, Inc.
