The Board of Zoning Appeals of the City of Whiting is appealing a judgment rendered by the Lake Superior Court which reversed the Board's denial of a variance. The sole question presented by this appeal is whether the trial court exceeded its authority when it reversed the Board.

The McFaddens petitioned the Board for a variance to permit the addition of three apartments to an existing duplex at 1634 LaPorte Avenue in Whiting, Indiana...
