Through a writ of habeas corpus brought under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 (1970), petitioner seeks an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps (Marine Corps). Petitioner is in the custody of the Marine Corps at the United States Naval Base in Philadelphia.
