Defendant, Matthew C. Simpson, plead guilty to a charge of burglary and was sentenced to 3 years' probation. Shortly thereafter the Circuit Court of Winnebago County revoked probation following an evidentiary hearing and on August 10, 1973, sentenced defendant to 2 to 6 years in prison.
