Plaintiff, an Oregon resident, brings this maritime personal injury action against defendant shipowner, a corporation of a foreign nation. 28 U.S.C. § 1332. On April 2, 1973, plaintiff worked on board defendant's vessel the M S Nedlloyd Kingston (Kingston), then berthed in navigable waters in Portland, Oregon.
