Defendant appeals as of right from a nolo contendere plea-based conviction of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. MCLA 750.84; MSA 28.279. He was sentenced to prison for a term of five to ten years. Atypically, the plea was taken in two sessions before different trial judges.
