TURK, Chief Judge.

Jimmie Oscar Cole, Jr. pled guilty and was convicted of robbery in the Circuit Court of Russell County, Virginia on September 8, 1958. He was sentenced to serve a term of twenty-four years in the penitentiary. He now petitions this court for a writ of habeas corpus alleging that he was denied effective assistance of counsel and because of this, his guilty plea was involuntary.
